Celebrating Nature, Tourism & Indigenous Art through Cinema and Digital Storytelling.
This contest aims to bring together filmmakers, influencers, students, and content creators from around the world to tell powerful stories around nature tourism, environment protection, and the preservation of indigenous art and craft traditions.

Mission
The Blupedia Contest, supported by Positive APE (Australia), BLUVERSE MEDIA and the Blupedia social media platform, is designed to celebrate and reward digital storytellers who can merge creativity with purpose. The goal is simple: to use the power of film and reels to ignite awareness and action for sustainable living and cultural preservation.
The Core Vision
The contest will align with Blupedia’s larger mission — to build a global social community that rewards people for protecting nature, promoting eco-tourism, and supporting indigenous craftsmanship. The event encourages participants to think beyond entertainment — to create meaningful, emotional, and inspiring stories that can spark a movement.

Short Film Category – Films up to 15 minutes in duration.
2. Social Media Reel Category – Reels up to 90 seconds, designed for platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Blupedia itself.
Both categories will revolve around the shared vision of preserving our planet through storytelling.

The Jury Panel
The contest will be judged by an eminent jury representing a cross-section of cinema, art, and global sustainability advocacy:

Shikha Alhuwalia – Acclaimed film producer and advocate for women’s representation in cinema.

Tony Rogers – Renowned Australian film director and mentor, representing the Australian Film Commission.

Vikas Khanna – Michelin-starred chef, filmmaker, and humanitarian known for films that explore Indian heritage and compassion.

Jason Byrne – Australian producer with global experience in environmental and travel storytelling.

Harsh Chhaya – Veteran actor and director, celebrated for his authentic narratives and cinematic realism.
Representatives from the NFDC (National Film Development Corporation of India) and The Australian Film Commission will serve as honorary jury advisors.

The Blupedia Film Festival Tour invites corporate sponsors and strategic partners to collaborate on a high-visibility, multi-city cultural initiative that connects India and Australia’s creative industries.

Brands seeking to enhance their presence across cinema, technology, education, lifestyle, and youth markets can align with the festival through customised sponsorship tiers, co-branded experiences, product integrations, and audience-engagement campaigns. The festival also welcomes innovative strategic alliances with companies exploring cross-border business development, sustainability collaborations, or cultural-exchange programming. In addition, the festival is integrating Hot Spot Technology into its short films, reels, and digital content—allowing viewers to interact directly with wardrobe, props, locations, products, and behind-the-scenes insights. This creates a new commercial ecosystem for advertisers, tech innovators, and lifestyle brands. Themes for Participation
Participants are encouraged to select from a list of 10 suggested themes, each designed to highlight a unique aspect of sustainable development, nature, and culture: Only these 10 THEMES & NAMES are approved for GRANT or CO-PRODUCTION. Though Independent Submissions can also be made in the competition category but will not be considered by the SCREEN LAB for GRANT or CO_PRODUCTION

“Green Trails of India” – Documenting eco-friendly travel and nature-based tourism experiences.

“Hands of Heritage” – Promoting indigenous handicraft traditions and local artisans through creative storytelling.

“The Plastic-Free Pledge” – Real stories of communities that have successfully reduced plastic use.

“Voices of the Forest” – Narratives from tribal or rural communities living in harmony with nature.

“Urban Jungle” – Exploring sustainability efforts within cities, rooftop gardens, and eco-startups.

“The River Lives Again” – Restoration stories of rivers, lakes, and wetlands across India and beyond.

“Cooking for the Planet” – Sustainable food, farm-to-table culture, and culinary eco-awareness.

“The Green Classroom” – Children and schools leading environmental awareness campaigns.

“Eco-Love Stories” – Personal or romantic stories set against eco-conscious backdrops, linking emotion with purpose.
Each theme allows for diverse storytelling — from documentaries and animations to musical reels, poetic visuals, or purely emotional narratives.
GRANT Application

The contest will include cash prizes, production grants, and global exposure opportunities, with selected works to be screened during The BLUPEDIA FILM FESTIVAL in August 2026, and later featured on Blupedia’s digital platform.
